Tourism Training:
As travellers we are alert to what works and what doesn't work in the Tourism and Hospitality areas. We think Scotland has the best Tourism services we have ever encountered, but Austria is right behind it. Now Venice - holly molly, they need some work. We've actually told a few stories about Venice in our WOW Communications Corp's Customer Service Audio CD. You won't believe some of the things that happen to Tourists in Venice!!!
We have taught a variety of Marketing type workshops for the Tourism industry directly to tourism properties or through Travel Alberta Tourism conferences. We have also taught in a Government program that helps youth, immigrants and minorities learn the necessary skills for entering the Tourism sector. This program allows participants to receive a National Certification in Housekeeping, Food and Beverage and Front Desk. Our training for hospitality is based on the Emerit Canada System.
We also offer tourism properties some basic training for the tourism sector. We use and follow the Emerit Tourism Training system which has been awarded the seal of excellence in Tourism Training by the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council in association with provincial and territorial partners.

Outlines on Tourism Training:
Cycle Tourism: Be an armchair tourist with a variety of presentations on cycling the world, this is great for a windup to a conference that was heavy with content.
Cycle Paths - are they worth the cost? Cycle Tourism is hot right now and we can show communities how it is advantageous to implement cycling paths into their communities - advantages in health, tourism and also economics. In the first year of the "Velob Program" Paris pocketed 36 million Euros. Vancouver Islands cycle paths bring over 50,000 visitors to the area each year for bicycling. Could this kind of niche marketing attract tourists to your area? This is a presentation for governments, municipalities or town sites who want more information on how to make their area more bicycle friendly but think the costs are prohibitive. (See outline)
Hospitality Property Training:
Tourism Basics (For Tourism Properties)
Housekeeping / Room Attendant (For Tourism Properties)
Food & Beverage Server (For Tourism Properties)
Front Desk Agent (For Tourism Properties)
Note: These are directly tourism related employee sessions. Our principle company, WOW Communications & Training Corp, also offers a variety of Business sessions that are tailored to the Tourism Sector. Tourism properties may be interested in WOW Communications' WOW CAT (Consulting and Training) Packages or our Business Series.
